Van Gogh was an art dealer, preacher, and finally, a painter. However, his life was marked by failure, self-doubt, and mental illness. His genius was only recognized posthumously. He experienced the world in intoxicating colors, which he applied like no other with his distinctive brushstroke, and which still inspire us today. Always there to help was his brother Theo, without whom the vibrant paintings would not exist today.
