Ghost Hunt at ETA Hoffmann Theater
When the lights are dimmed in the theater, an extraordinary stage experience begins for young people aged 11 to 13: In the theater workshop Ghost Hunt on November 6, 2026, participants will playfully explore the mysterious world of the ETA Hoffmann Theater in Bamberg.
Discovering the Stage Playfully
Focusing on imagination, movement, and acting skills, the group will embark on a search for the ghosts that roam the theater. This will lead to the creation of their own characters, small scenes, and surprising moments. The youth will themselves take on the roles of mysterious stage beings and experience how an idea develops into a theater scene through body language, voice, and collaboration.
Where Imagination Takes Shape
The ETA Hoffmann Theater provides a special theater atmosphere for this: Behind the scenes, in the stage area, and in the city theater's rooms, the theater is not only observed but actively experienced. Dramaturgy arises directly from play. Lighting ambiance, spatial effect, voice, and movement come together in a small production of their own.
Theater Education with Excitement and Playfulness
The workshop combines cultural education with imaginative role-playing. The youth will test presence, improvisation, and joint storytelling. From the perspective of a ghost, a new view opens up on set design, acting, and the stories that a theater space can hold. Thus, the visit becomes an active stage experience with room for courage, humor, and personal ideas.
A Morning Full of Theater Magic
The workshop begins on Friday, November 6, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the ETA Hoffmann Theater Bamberg. The offer is aimed at young people aged 11 to 13. Registration is done through the holiday portal.
Conclusion
Ghost Hunt invites young people to shape theater themselves: with imagination, voice, movement, and collaborative joy of play. Those who want to not only see the stage but invent it up close will experience an inspiring morning at the ETA Hoffmann Theater between ghost stories and the art of acting.
