The Girl with the Pringles Can, Musical based on the play "EXTRA ZERO" by Elisabeth Pape

Who do I want to be? How do I want to look? What is slim, what is sick? A group of young people, who have dangerously starved themselves under the pressure of self-optimization and beauty mania of our society, end up in an institution where they are supposed to gain weight again – the counter-program to what has determined their lives for years. Among them is the girl with the Pringles can: the newcomer in the institution, who experiences the system that is supposed to heal her as hostile – and food as a threat... From the partially biographical theater text "EXTRA ZERO" by the young author Elisabeth Pape, director Mathias Noack has made the seemingly impossible: a musical about anorexia, where the music allows the encapsulated characters to open up. Performing and singing will be young people and young adults from Bamberg, who will be specially cast in collaboration with theater pedagogy.
