The best, most remarkable way to learn German!!! I spent two weeks in April learning German. Alexandra is a remarkable, diligent, and highly creative German teacher. Every weekday for two weeks we spent at least 3 hours a day studying German, just the two of us. I had been taking online classes with Alexandra for several months before my immersive visit and so she knew just what I needed to learn. She understood my learning style and my strong interest in pronunciation and grammar as well as conversational German, and she delivered on all of it. But this review would be so incomplete if I focused only on the German classes themselves. What Alexandra, and her remarkable husband, provide is a window into their lives. They both made me feel so welcome - as did all of their friends. From the moment Alexandra greeted me at the train station, I felt so welcome. They bring humor and warmth and joy into everything they do - as did their many friends with whom I got to hike, eat, drink, sing, and more!!! And Alexandra's husband, Joachim, is a terrific chef, who made me horseradish soup 4 different times because I couldn't get enough of it!!! On top of that, Bamberg is stunningly beautiful and it has a fascinating history (which Alexandra can tell you all about as she also is a tour guide!). Before my stay with Alexandra, I was only comfortable speaking German with her! But after two weeks, I traveled another two weeks throughout Bavaria with my husband and our friends, and I spoke German comfortably with everyone I met. For me, learning a new language is not only intellectually challenging but also emotionally challenging. You have to be able to let yourself feel awkward and uncertain, and vulnerable. But with Alexandra, Joachim, and their friends I was able to let down my guard and welcome this incredible opportunity. This is a gift that will last forever.

One of the best experiences of my life! What a warm welcome I got. I chose a full onboard for a week and I felt like I was between family members! I initially had a little concern to stay in a home with others and was alternatively thinking to stay in a hotel but it turned out to be a great decision; Private, warm and fun. The curriculum was adjusted to my character and needs and was set in a wonderful manner and improvised when needed. I enjoyed taking on new directions during our studies as my hundreds of questions got answered. Time passed so fast because I was having so much fun! Learning compiled over the days and built progressively over the lessons despite how difficult the language is for me. As I registered for the Christmas course, the cultural experiences were memorable in parallel. Having knowledgeable and highly cultured guides/teachers with me led to the most spectacular cultural learnings, insights, and discussions. I am glad and lucky Alexandra and Joachim picked me to stay over, not just the other way around! And I am continuing my Skype lessons with them as well. Highly recommended memorable experience whether you are serious about the language or just want a memorable holiday.

I had a brilliant experience making 1-to-1 German lessons via Skype with Treffpunkt-Online and the teacher Gerald. The school and teacher were both very supportive and structured. It was clear that Gerald had long experience from teaching, but also from teaching online using different kinds of solutions for giving examples, making exercises etc. Many of the lessons were fun too. Based on my own experience, I can only give my very best recommendations about this school for anyone considering learning online.

Absolutely brilliant for rapidly improving or kickstarting your German. I stayed with Alexandra and her husband Joachim who are an amazing couple and we had some great laughs plus after two weeks I found myself thinking in German and friends were commenting on how dramatically it had improved.
