The building is located at Obere Sandstraße 7 in the heart of Bamberg, right in the city center and within the historic cityscape near the cathedral. Particularly exciting is the contrast between history and the present: old walls, representative rooms, and a terrace with a view of the cathedral meet current event formats, a professional event operation, and a clear focus on guests who expect more than just a standard room. The official website and event pages show that the Haas Säle today function both as a cultural venue and as a rental location. Events, Program, and Tickets in the Haas Säle
If the most important search topic is the current program, then that is no coincidence: The Haas Säle are firmly anchored in the city's event calendar and are regularly used for a wide variety of formats. The official house page emphasizes that concerts, theater performances, cabaret and salsa evenings, and much more take place here. This is important for searchers because the venue is not limited to a single genre but is flexibly utilized. Those looking for an appointment today, tomorrow, or in the coming weeks expect exactly this diversity: an evening with live programming, a special dance format, or a cultural special event. The official event overview also shows that the Haas Säle are interesting for a wide range of target groups, from audiences for stage programs to guests who attend party or community events. ([neu.live-club.de](https://neu.live-club.de/haas-saele))
Particularly relevant for keyword analysis are the terms today, upcoming events, and program. They show that users are not only generally interested in the location but are very specifically looking for the next available occasion. Therefore, for visitors, the view of the current online announcement is crucial: There, hints about new dates, ticket links, and changing highlights appear. The official page makes it clear that the Haas Säle are not just a historical space but an actively operated cultural and event venue with an ongoing calendar. Current formats such as poetry slams, changing party evenings, special events, or dance evenings also show that the house is regularly utilized and thus remains relevant not only for single-season themes but year-round. For guests, this is practical because they do not have to search long but find the most important information bundled in one place. This is exactly why the search terms around program and events rank so strongly. Those researching the Haas Säle do not want just beautiful words but concrete dates, a comprehensible selection of events, and ideally direct access to tickets. ([neu.live-club.de](https://neu.live-club.de/haas-saele))
Terrace, Rooftop, and Sandkerwa Above the Rooftops of Bamberg
A second major theme is the terrace of the Haas Säle, as it ensures that the location works not only indoors but also outdoors. Officially, the terrace is described with a view of the Bamberg Cathedral, and this view is one of the strongest emotional anchors of the brand. The terrace is not just an ancillary area but an independent place to stay, used for after-work evenings, sunset moments, drinks, and relaxed meetings. On the official terrace page, it is described as a rooftop environment with rooftop vibes; drinks, snacks, and games are also available, along with the note that no reservation is necessary. For users looking for a rooftop or terrace, this is the decisive point: It is not about an anonymous space but a well-known meeting point in the middle of the old town with a strong view and real nightlife character. ([live-club.de](https://www.live-club.de/haas-saele/terrasse?utm_source=openai))
The keyword Sandkerwa is also relevant for the Haas Säle because the house visibly participates in the Bamberg city events and seasonal formats. The official event page announces a Sandkerwa pre-party on the terrace. This shows that the terrace is not only used for classic summer evenings but also for significant city moments. Additionally, there is the winter aspect of the location: With Domglühen, the terrace becomes an outdoor area with a view of the cathedral, warm and cold drinks, and a winter ambiance during the cold season. For the search intent, this is very important because users often look not only for an address but for an experience that fits the season. The Haas Säle therefore cater to multiple search motives simultaneously: rooftop, terrace, city view, Sandkerwa, after work, and seasonal specials. This combination makes the location particularly visible online. So, anyone looking for a terrace in Bamberg that can function both in summer and winter will find one of the most prominent addresses in the old town here. Directions and Parking at the Haas Säle in Bamberg
Regarding directions, the location of the Haas Säle is both an advantage and a challenge. The advantage: The venue is centrally located in the Bamberg city center and directly on Sandstraße. The disadvantage: There are no parking spaces directly on site, and access by car is only limited, especially for loading and unloading. The official directions also point out that Sandstraße is a traffic-calmed area where slow driving is required. For visitors, this means: Those arriving by car should not hope for a parking space right at the door but plan for the surrounding underground garages. Among others, the City-Altstadt and Residenzschloss underground garages are mentioned; the banquet folder also lists the City-Altstadt underground garage on Geyerswörthstraße as the nearest parking garage. From there, the walk is only a few minutes long. This is the most practical solution for many guests when an event takes place in the evening or a larger group arrives. ([neu.live-club.de](https://neu.live-club.de/service/so-koennt-ihr-uns-finden))
The arrival by public transport is also clearly described. Those coming from the train station are best to go via the ZOB and use the appropriate lines further towards the city center. According to the official directions, only about two to three minutes of walking are needed from the ZOB; alternatively, the walk from the ZOB takes about five minutes. For visitors who do not want to navigate the old town by car, this is a noticeable advantage. The location is thus not dependent on individual traffic but can also be conveniently reached by bus and on foot. This is particularly important for events with later times because guests are then no longer reliant on a parking space and can plan the evening more relaxed. In the context of parking, directions, and city center location, it becomes clear that while the Haas Säle do not score points with parking spaces directly at the building, they do offer very central and urban accessibility. So, anyone looking for parking in Bamberg should plan for the surrounding underground garages as a standard solution and see the old town location as an advantage for the rest of the evening. ([neu.live-club.de](https://neu.live-club.de/service/so-koennt-ihr-uns-finden))
Wedding, Renting, and Capacity: Celebrating in Historical Rooms
The Haas Säle are not only interesting for public events but also as a rental location for private and business occasions. This is where the search terms wedding, renting costs, and capacity come together. The official website describes the venue as a place for closed events such as weddings, corporate events, conferences, anniversary celebrations, or private birthday parties. This is important because the rooms function not only as a stage area but also as a stylish backdrop for personal occasions. The combination of historical architecture and a view of the cathedral is particularly frequently highlighted for weddings. The banquet page even explicitly mentions the classic reception on the terrace for weddings. This shows that the location not only thinks about space but also about a process: arriving, receiving, eating, celebrating, and depending on the wish, a longer night in a historical ambiance. ([live-club.de](https://live-club.de/haas-saele/die-haas-saele-frueher-und-jetzt))
When it comes to capacity, it is important to differentiate precisely because different setups have different values. The official history page mentions a small hall for up to 50 people and a large hall for up to 220 people; additionally, a row seating arrangement with up to 280 chairs is possible. In the banquet folder for celebrations, the large hall is listed with 240 square meters and depending on the seating arrangement, 140 to 180 guests, the mirror hall with 70 square meters for 24 to 32 people, and the terrace with 130 square meters for up to 100 guests. This is not a contradiction but a typical question of usage: stage, dance floor, table arrangement, and occasion influence the specific number. So, anyone looking for capacity should not only look at a single number but at the desired event format. For a wedding with a dance floor, different values apply than for a row format with an audience. Particularly helpful is that the team offers individual viewing appointments and personal consultation, allowing the suitable solution to be coordinated in advance. This is also relevant for the question of costs because the location does not work with rigid standard prices but with tailored offers. ([live-club.de](https://live-club.de/haas-saele/die-haas-saele-frueher-und-jetzt))
History of the Haas Säle: From the Cathedral Chapter Court to Cultural Address
The history of the Haas Säle is a significant part of their appeal. The building has been described as an integral part of the Bamberg cityscape for centuries and was first mentioned in 1360, then still as two separate buildings: the house to the Kolben and the house to the golden ox. In the early 17th century, both houses were united and initially served as a residence for noble families, later for the Bamberg prince-bishops as the cathedral chapter court. The richly decorated ceilings in the former festival hall testify to this representative past to this day. This historical depth is not just a nice detail but a reason why the location feels so different from many modern event spaces. When entering the Haas Säle, one moves in a house with genuine urban and cultural memory. This is precisely what makes the place interesting for visitors who appreciate authenticity and prefer to book a space with a developed identity rather than an interchangeable event area. ([live-club.de](https://live-club.de/haas-saele/die-haas-saele-frueher-und-jetzt))
In 1883, the building was acquired by Joseph Haas, whose name it still bears today. At that time, a café was created, a two-story music pavilion on the terrace, and in 1895 a bowling alley. In the 20th century, the rooms were then used very differently: as a cinema, restaurant, dance school, and later as billiard halls. It was not until 2000 that the Haas Säle were created in their current form. This development explains why the location is so versatile today. It has not only a historical core but also a long tradition as a place of entertainment, encounter, and public use. The fact that it has become a modern event venue is therefore no coincidence but the result of a long history of use and redesign. The current mix of cultural programs, celebrations, terrace, and rental options is thus in a clear line with the past of the house. Those looking for history, special features, or the origin of the name will not find an abstract concept here but a well-documented development from a noble residence through the cathedral chapter court to a vibrant event location in the center of Bamberg. ([live-club.de](https://live-club.de/haas-saele/die-haas-saele-frueher-und-jetzt))
Photos, Impressions, and Special Highlights of the Location
The keyword photos shows that many users do not only evaluate the Haas Säle factually but also want to experience them visually before planning a visit. This is where the official impressions and image pages help. The location's website refers to impressions, Instagram, and Facebook, allowing one to get a picture of the atmosphere in advance. This is particularly important for a location with a historical core because the effect is not only created by numbers but by spaces, light, terrace, sightlines, and details. Those looking at photos quickly recognize that the Haas Säle connect different levels: the historical character of the house, the open outdoor area of the terrace, and the vibrant use as an event venue. For searchers, this is a quality feature because images often show faster than text whether a location fits their occasion. ([neu.live-club.de](https://neu.live-club.de/service/so-koennt-ihr-uns-finden))
The highlights of the Haas Säle range from cultural programs to themed parties to seasonal meeting points. On the event pages, formats such as poetry slams, salsa evenings, African event nights, or rooftop formats on the terrace appear. This shows that the place is not just a room but a platform for very different target groups. This versatility is particularly attractive for people looking for a place where not just a single event takes place but a whole world of experiences can emerge. For photographs and social media, this is ideal because the location provides strong motifs: old town, cathedral view, terrace, historical details, and active events. So, anyone searching for Haas Säle Bamberg photos usually wants to see exactly this mix before making a decision. In summary, the location is particularly interesting for guests who want to experience history, views, and event culture in one place. Whether for a visit today, for upcoming events, for a wedding, or for an event with friends: The Haas Säle clearly show on the official pages why they are so frequently searched in Bamberg.
Bit underwhelming portion of mozzarella sticks for the price you pay. View is nice and it is a peaceful atmosphere.

Absolutely loved their rooftop (even though you are surrounded with walls and not a view). The waiter brings my second cocktail and says that unfortunately the bartender forgot one ingredient. I tasted it and said it's still tasty as the one before, probably 20 mins later he comes back and offers me and my friend a shot of our choice as an apology. Sweet, kind and fast service. Also at sunset it's wonderful, loving the lights above ❤️🌇.

A nice event venue. They have a nice terrace outside that can also be used for big programs or events. It also has a nice dance floor and enough space to gather around.
