The venue is used for concerts, theater, cabaret, dance evenings, salsa, weddings, conferences, and private celebrations. Parking and Directions to Haas Saal Bamberg
Those driving to Haas Saal Bamberg should keep in mind the central old town location from the start. The official directions page clearly states that Sandstraße is a traffic-calmed area and that access by car is only limited to loading and unloading. There are no parking spaces on site. Therefore, visitors are recommended to use the City-Altstadt and Residenzschloss underground garages; from there, it is about a five-minute walk to the venue. This is convenient for guests because the Haas Saal is located in the historical core, but also in a district where city life, pedestrian zones, and events are closely intertwined. So, anyone looking to park at Haas Saal Bamberg will find the most important answer directly on the official page: do not park in front of the house, but plan to use one of the nearby underground garages. ([neu.live-club.de](https://neu.live-club.de/service/so-koennt-ihr-uns-finden))
Traveling by public transport is also straightforward. According to the official page, the best way from the train station is to take lines 901, 902, or 911 to the ZOB. From there, lines 910 go to Elisabethenstraße or 918 to Schranne; it is only about two to three minutes on foot from these stops. Alternatively, the walk from the ZOB itself takes about five minutes. This is a real advantage for evening events, concerts, or dance formats because guests can arrive without much planning and are not dependent on a long search for parking after the event. The location at Obere Sandstraße 7 remains very central and realistically planable. Those wishing to arrive early can even use the short walk from the parking garage through the old town for a little stroll. The combination of walking distance, old town ambiance, and official parking recommendations makes the Haas Saal easy for visitors to calculate. Events and Program at Haas Saal
The Haas Saal has long been more than just a space for individual evenings in Bamberg. On the official page, they are described as a fixed term in the Bamberg cultural scene, and the current program reflects this: diverse, urban, and open to very different target groups. Here, concerts take place just as much as theater, cabaret, dance evenings, and larger parties. The event page of the live club continuously shows current dates, and the official Kultur.Bamberg calendar adds additional entries from the city and regional culture. So, anyone searching for Haas Saal Bamberg program or Haas Saal Bamberg today will find not just a static event location, but a stage with regularly changing formats and a clear cultural anchoring. ([neu.live-club.de](https://neu.live-club.de/haas-saele))
This is particularly evident in current and recurring formats. The calendar includes events such as Rooftop After Work, Muevelo - The Ultimate Latin Party, Soulshakers Weekender, Salsa Night, dance evenings, and special party nights like Crewlove or the big New Year's Eve party. The range extends from club and dance formats to live music and themed parties and urban event evenings. For Latin and dance fans, the Haas Saal is a fixed address: Muevelo focuses on reggaeton, Latin house, bachata, salsa, merengue, hip-hop, and dancehall, while the Salsa Night at the Haas Saal combines workshops and parties in several areas. The venue has also been used for large New Year's Eve formats, with the calendar documenting a celebration across two areas. Those looking for a place with a changing program will not find a one-time event hall here, but a lively mix of culture, club feeling, and special formats that directly caters to the search for events in Bamberg. Terrace, Rooftop, and Cathedral View
A key reason why many guests specifically search for Haas Saal Bamberg terrace or rooftop is the special location at the edge of the old town with a view of the Bamberg Cathedral. The official terrace page describes the location as a place for relaxed evening celebrations, sunsets, and rooftop vibes in the middle of Bamberg. Visitors are welcome from 4 PM, Wednesday to Friday from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, without reservation. Thus, the terrace is not just an additional offer, but a clear part of the overall profile. Those coming from the city center find here a place that feels open, uncomplicated, and yet special: sitting outside, letting the gaze wander, and still staying in the midst of the action. The combination of old town and view makes the terrace a place that is not just visited but consciously chosen. ([live-club.de](https://www.live-club.de/haas-saele/terrasse))
The details also show that the terrace is well thought out and not just serves as a decorative extra. The official page mentions beer barrels for self-tapping right at the table, cocktails, long drinks, cold drinks, sandwiches, beer pong, foosball, and rental games. Additionally, there is a drink fortune wheel and seasonal promotions like Domglühen, where the terrace is used as a winter vibes place in the colder months. The event page also refers to Rooftop After Work as a fixed term of the terrace season. So, anyone searching for rooftop terrace, rooftop, or terrace will find at the Haas Saal no anonymous outdoor area, but a consciously staged summer and after-work format with clear times, clear atmosphere, and a strong Bamberg connection. Especially the view of the cathedral ensures that the place has a memorable value even without a large stage program. ([live-club.de](https://www.live-club.de/haas-saele/terrasse))
Weddings, Rentals, and Private Celebrations at Haas Saal
The Haas Saal is explicitly intended as a rental location for private and public events. The official rental page mentions concerts and parties as well as weddings, birthdays, Christmas parties, and DJ parties. There is also the possibility to discuss individual solutions, schedule viewing appointments, and create a personal offer. This is important for users searching for Haas Saal Bamberg wedding or Haas Saal Bamberg rental costs: it is not a rigid package hall, but a place designed according to the occasion, number of people, and desired equipment. The documents also specifically address weddings, anniversaries, and corporate events, making the location particularly interesting for festive and representative formats. ([neu.live-club.de](https://neu.live-club.de/service/mieten-eigene-veranstaltung))
The service and pricing logic is also clearly described. The banquet folder works with basic flat rates, room rentals, daily flat rates, and additional services, which means the final price depends on duration, scope of services, and number of guests. At the same time, the material shows that the location is set up for practical processes: bar staff is present throughout the event, table service can run until 10:00 PM, technical support is possible, and power connections are available in all rooms for music or DJ setups. The page also points out that GEMA and KSK fees are to be borne by the organizer, while catering and other details are coordinated in advance. So, anyone planning a wedding with a terrace, an anniversary with dinner, or a corporate event with a dance floor will not receive a standard solution in the Haas Saal, but a place with clear infrastructure and real event know-how. That is why many users are not only searching for rentals but also for costs, equipment, and wedding options together. ([neu.live-club.de](https://neu.live-club.de/service/mieten-eigene-veranstaltung))
Capacity, Rooms, and Equipment
The Haas Saal Bamberg is spatially structured to cover very different event sizes. The banquet folder mentions the large hall with 240 m² and a capacity of 140 people with stage and dance floor or 180 people without stage and dance floor. The mirror hall has 70 m² and is suitable for 24 people with stage and dance floor or 32 people without. The terrace is designated with 130 m² and can be used for up to 100 people. Additionally, the small hall can be booked upon request and is also described with 70 m² and 24 to 32 people. This is very important information for users searching for Haas Saal Bamberg capacity, as the location thus works not only for parties but also for smaller and medium-sized closed formats. ([live-club.de](https://www.live-club.de/file/8866/download?token=trD1PurN))
The official website complements this picture with further orientation values. It mentions the small hall with up to 50 people and the large hall with up to 220 people; for row seating, a maximum of 280 chairs are mentioned. These different figures are not a contradiction but show that the capacity varies significantly depending on seating and use. This is what makes the Haas Saal flexible: a reception on the terrace, a gala dinner in the hall, a dance event with a stage, or a conference with row seating are all realistic scenarios. Additionally, there are indirect lighting, a stage including setup and teardown, projector usage upon request, various table shapes, and the option to adapt standing tables and seating to the respective concept. This is particularly valuable for organizers because they are not just renting an address but a modular infrastructure that is designed from intimate to larger events. ([neu.live-club.de](https://neu.live-club.de/haas-saele/die-haas-saele-frueher-und-jetzt))
History, Photos, and Special Atmosphere
The history of the Haas Saal is one of the reasons why the location is perceived so strongly in Bamberg. The building was first mentioned in 1360, then still as two houses named Haus zum Kolben and Haus zum güldenen Ochsen. In the early 17th century, these buildings were united and initially served noble families as a residence and later the Bamberg prince-bishops as a residence for canons. The rich ceiling decorations in the former festival hall still testify to this representative past. In 1883, the merchant Joseph Haas acquired the house, whose name has been retained. At that time, a café was established, a two-story music pavilion was built on the terrace, and in 1895 a bowling alley was added. In the 20th century, the building was used as a cinema, restaurant, dance school, and billiard halls, before the current form of the Haas Saal emerged in 2000. ([neu.live-club.de](https://neu.live-club.de/haas-saele/die-haas-saele-frueher-und-jetzt))
This mix of history and present is also the reason why many people search for Haas Saal Bamberg photos. The official impressions page shows numerous pictures of the location and makes visible how differently the rooms can be used. Anyone wanting to get an impression of light, spatial effect, hall character, and outdoor area will find a picture series there that conveys the atmosphere better than any dry performance description. The Haas Saal thus does not appear as an interchangeable event space but as a house with history that has been translated into the present. This also explains why the location works for both cultural evenings and private celebrations, dance events, or elegant receptions. The historical substance gives the space character, while the current use ensures tempo and flexibility. This contrast is what makes the Haas Saal in Bamberg so distinctive and logically brings together the search queries for photos, history, and special atmosphere. This is very important information for users searching for Haas Saal Bamberg capacity, as the location thus works not only for parties but also for smaller and medium-sized closed formats.
Bit underwhelming portion of mozzarella sticks for the price you pay. View is nice and it is a peaceful atmosphere.

Absolutely loved their rooftop (even though you are surrounded with walls and not a view). The waiter brings my second cocktail and says that unfortunately the bartender forgot one ingredient. I tasted it and said it's still tasty as the one before, probably 20 mins later he comes back and offers me and my friend a shot of our choice as an apology. Sweet, kind and fast service. Also at sunset it's wonderful, loving the lights above ❤️🌇

A nice event venue. They have a nice terrace outside that can also be used for big programs or events. It also has a nice dance floor and enough space to gather around.
