Nice department store with good selection of the essentials. I came here to buy lots of clothing and while it does take a bit of time to find someone, the staff here is very friendly, attentive, and helpful. The food court at the top is spacious and very comfortable. The selection of food is pretty limited when I was there. I did not see any pasta or soup. Overall well run and great place to shop!

Very good bakery I gotta say I ordered the strawberry tart and it was absolutely STUNNING. Just like french ones :D

Here you can find almost all of want you need from kitchen utensils to gifts. You have to consider that this is not a place where you can buy cheap stuff. The quality is good so, the price is high. They have excellent customer service. If you buy something from this shop, you can change or repair from all of their outlets throughout Germany. That is a huge benefit. They offer gift cards as well. By the way if you need passport photos, they have Photobooth for that, isn't it amazing!!! For gifts, this is an ideal place for me.

Probably the best place for shopping in the city centre. They have everything from shoes, clothes, sports wear and equipment, cosmetics, bags, jewelry, stationary, books, lingerie, technical stuff, pretty much if you need anything Karstadt is likely to have it. Only downside is that prices are often a bit on the high side, but what you get is nice. They have a nice selection of special occasion dresses for affordable prices.

I visited two stores in two different cities. They are four story department stores. Sectioned off by floors for women and children, men, household goods and accessories. Prices are reasonable and in August they have 30-70% sales. Service is okay. They don't pack your stuff in bags but they charge 10¢ per bag. This is to discourage the use of plastic in the environment. Bring your own bags. The settings is like most department stores with modern and traditional Germany clothing.
