Hospice Film Day

The Bamberg Hospice Association invites you to a special film day on Wednesday, October 14 at the Odeon Cinema & Café (Luitpoldstr. 25). On the occasion of World Hospice Day, a film on hospice and palliative care will be shown. In the cinema evening, visitors will watch the film “Toni and Helene” at 6:00 PM. Helene, a former theater diva, lives severely ill in a senior residence and has already planned her assisted death in Switzerland – but no one wants to drive her. Only with Toni, her initially hated roommate, does she unexpectedly find an ally. From rejection grows friendship, and together the two women set off in a classic car. A heartwarming comedy about courage, friendship, and new beginnings. Afterwards, we will provide opportunities for discussions with people from hospice and palliative care about the topics of dying, death, and mourning.
