Art with Words: When self-written texts begin to shine live

On November 10, 2026, the Gaststätte Stilbruch in Bamberg transforms into a stage for language, performance, and immediate encounters. At Art with Words, the word belongs to the moment: Self-written texts meet vibrant voices, personal perspectives, and the applause of the audience.

Poetry Slam as a Literary Experience

Poetry Slam combines literary quality with the energy of a live performance. Lyrical images, pointed observations, and narrative miniatures unfold their impact not on paper, but in the voice. The format opens literature to different genres and forms of expression – from contemplative language art to humorous texts with precise punchlines.

A Stage for New Voices

Self-written texts and the personality of the presenters are at the center. Each performance carries its own narrative handwriting: sometimes direct and societal, sometimes playful, poetic, or surprisingly personal. This diversity makes the evening a special author encounter and an open cultural discourse about language, everyday life, and the present.

Moderated and Hosted by Lisa & Emilia

Lisa & Emilia moderate and host the evening. Their conception focuses on closeness, dynamics, and immediate interaction between stage and audience. This creates an intimate reading atmosphere where texts are not only presented but experienced together.

Conclusion: Literature that Changes the Space

Art with Words promises an evening full of self-written texts, performance, and much applause. Those who want to experience language in its vivid, immediate form will find an inspiring meeting point of the Bamberg literary scene at Stilbruch. Mark your calendar now and experience Poetry Slam live.
