The BeeBots Are Here: Programming Fun for Little Tinkerers
In the Bamberg City Library, friendly little robots become curious bees on an exploration tour. Children aged 5 to 7 give the BeeBots clear commands and help them find their way back to their hive. This family experience connects children's laughter, learning fun, and collective experimentation.
Taking Small Steps into the World of Robotics
BeeBots can be programmed using simple buttons. The children consider which direction the robot should take, plan a sequence, and then eagerly watch to see if the bee reaches its destination. This child-friendly learning experience imparts basic programming skills without the need for prior knowledge.
Playfully Think, Try Out, and Find Solutions
While programming, children train their concentration, spatial orientation, and forward-thinking. If the BeeBot takes a wrong turn, the learning fun starts again: together, they think, correct, and try out a new solution. This strengthens their problem-solving skills and makes technical relationships comprehensible for their age.
A Safe Place for Curious Families
The event takes place in the hall of the Bamberg City Library. The manageable environment provides a space for focused work, joint discovery, and a safe first encounter with robotics. Participation is intended for children aged 5 to 7; pre-registration is required.
Admission and Registration
Admission is free. To participate, registration with the Bamberg City Library at 0951 98119-17 or via email at info@stadtbuecherei-bamberg.de is required.
