Orchestra Grandessa brings world music with sensitivity to Bamberg
On Saturday, October 17, 2026, Orchestra Grandessa invites you to a musical journey across Europe and far beyond at the cultural factory KUFA. Starting at 7:30 PM, this world music ensemble connects traditional sounds, contemporary compositions, and original pieces into an acoustic concert experience full of warmth, virtuosity, and surprising twists.
Acoustic world music with character
At the center of the evening is a finely tuned ensemble sound. Guitar, violin, accordion, clarinet, double bass, and percussion merge into a homogeneous unity. The purely acoustic stage performance relies on natural dynamics, precise synchronization, and a sensitive musical communication without electronic effects.
From Gypsy Swing to Klezmer
The repertoire of Orchestra Grandessa takes you through ancient jazz, Gypsy swing in the style of Django Reinhardt, Southeast European folklore, and Klezmer. Valse Musette, tango, chanson, and international salon music expand the sound picture. Melancholic lines, buoyant rhythms, and passionate improvisations alternate throughout the performance.
Henry Wolf and personal interpretations
The quintet led by guitarist and composer Henry Wolf develops familiar stylistic worlds with great independence. Original compositions draw elements from various genres, remix them, and give the concert a distinctive signature. The arrangements thrive on noble restraint, remarkable virtuosity, and a finely balanced orchestration.
Live atmosphere between Montmartre and Vienna café
The music of Grandessa opens inner images: a wedding in the Shtetl, a bar in Montmartre, or a Viennese café. Between tender melodies and infectious rhythms, an audience mood is created that invites both concentrated listening and light swaying. Experiences from previous performances describe the ensemble as stylistically versatile, enthusiastic, and highly virtuosic.
Conclusion: An evening full of sound colors
Orchestra Grandessa promises an atmospheric world music concert in Bamberg with Gypsy swing, Klezmer, tango, chanson, and original music. Those who love acoustic instruments, handcrafted arrangements, and lively improvisation will experience an evening of exceptional musical closeness at KUFA. Tickets are available in advance.
