Luca Sestak Trio brings virtuosic piano playing to Bamberg
On November 14, 2026, the Luca Sestak Trio will transform the Jazzclub Bamberg into a musical resonance space between jazz, classical, blues, pop, and funk. The concert begins at 8:00 PM, with doors opening at 7:00 PM. Tickets are available from 15 Euros.
When Chopin becomes funky
Luca Sestak is one of the extraordinary pianists of his generation. Already as a child, he published videos of his piano playing on the internet and evolved from a celebrated child prodigy to a matured artist with international stage experience. His playing combines technical precision with an immediate, humorous stage performance.
Lighter Notes: Piano sounds with surprise effect
On the album Lighter Notes, classical composition traditions meet modern groove aesthetics. Sestak thinks of Chopin as funky, mentally places Bach in a jazz club, and expands the sound spectrum of the piano with prepared strings, tape, or felt. Such interventions create unusual timbres, percussive accents, and a distinct orchestration.
Between Jazzclub, Blues, and Funk
Together with his trio, Luca Sestak moves between fiery virtuosity and soulful minimalism. The musical synchronization of the ensemble, the powerful sound, and the changing dynamics create a live atmosphere that is both danceable and concentrated. Classical motifs meet blues phrasing, funk grooves, and the openness of jazz.
A concert experience with joyful playing
The Luca Sestak Trio focuses on proximity, charm, and visible joy in musical dialogue. Rapid runs, surprising rhythmic twists, and sensitive passages alternate. Thus, an audience atmosphere arises that builds tension from the first strike and transforms the concert into a journey through different sound worlds.
Conclusion: Experience piano art live in Bamberg
The concert at Jazzclub Bamberg promises a versatile concert experience for jazz fans, classical music lovers, and all who appreciate curious music across genres. Anyone wanting to experience Luca Sestak's virtuosic piano playing, the trio's performance, and the sound world of Lighter Notes up close should mark November 14, 2026, in their calendar.
