Jazzclub Open Stage in Bamberg: Free space for new sounds

On Wednesday, October 21, 2026, the Jazzclub Bamberg opens its stage for musicians and curious jazz fans. Starting at 8 PM, an open concert evening will take place in the jazz cellar, focusing on spontaneous ideas, original songs, and collaborative music-making.

Where musical ideas grow live

The Jazzclub Open Stage is aimed at up-and-coming talents, bands, and anyone who wants to perform a new song in front of an audience for the first time. Those who simply want to experience live music in a special atmosphere will find an immediate connection to the local scene.

Instruments, voices, and spontaneous encounters

For the evening, a piano, a drum set, and a bass amplifier will be available. Singing is also possible. Unlike a classic jazz club session, there is no fixed band that carries the entire evening. Instead, the configurations change, musical ideas collide, and new arrangements emerge from individual impulses.

Jazz as an open concert experience

The open stage thrives on improvisation, synchronization, and direct exchange between stage and audience. Sometimes an original song is at the center, other times a spontaneous interpretation. It is this mix of musical risk, focused listening, and surprising turns that shapes the live atmosphere in the jazz cellar.

Free admission, donations welcome

Admission is free. To cover costs, donations are requested during the evening. This keeps the Open Stage accessible and creates space for musicians who want to develop their stage performance and make new contacts in the jazz scene.

The Jazzclub Open Stage promises an evening with immediate audience energy, changing lineups, and authentic musical moments. Those who want to not only hear jazz but also experience its creation live should mark October 21, 2026, at the Jazzkeller Bamberg in their calendars.
