When the Vacation Escalates, All That’s Left is Popcorn
A vacation with friends sounds like relaxation – until old secrets, wounded egos, and a completely derailed mobile game take over the holiday planning. On October 22, 2026, The Perfect Vacation comes to the ODEON – Cinema & Café in Bamberg and brings the star ensemble from The Perfect Secret back to the big screen.
Beach, Male Friendship, and Maximum Catastrophe Level
Leo, Pepe, Rocco, and Simon want to get some distance on Mallorca. However, their wives just happen to stay in the same finca. When the holiday home goes up in flames, the entire travel group ends up in a club hotel. There, not only do the feathers fly, but so do the carefully concealed truths.
Ensemble Comedy with Punchy Timing
Director and screenwriter Bora Dagtekin again relies on quick dialogues, sharp conflicts, and an ensemble dynamic where every glance already contains a little reckoning. Elyas M’Barek, Karoline Herfurth, Florian David Fitz, Jessica Schwarz, Jella Haase, Frederick Lau, Wotan Wilke Möhring, and Diana Amft provide a comedy atmosphere between vacation idyll and emotional emergency.
The plot connects stand-up-style timing with classic relationship comedy: A second mobile phone, a text message affair, a coming out, and an ex-girlfriend showing up are enough to turn the much-anticipated vacation into a social minefield with a pool view. The audience experiences a turbulent film comedy, in which the audience reaction probably kicks in at the latest when someone claims to have everything under control.
117 Minutes of Laughter Experience in the Cinema
With a runtime of 117 minutes, The Perfect Vacation offers a compact cinema debut full of misunderstandings, friendship tests, and sunny backdrops. The German comedy is rated for ages 12 and combines light vacation themes with the old burdens of a friend group that knows each other better than they would like.
Conclusion: A Vacation Best Experienced on Screen
Those who love ensemble comedies, sharp timing, and escalating friendship stories will enjoy a cinema evening at the ODEON filled with plenty of drama, charm, and comedic surprises. So grab some popcorn, choose your seat, and witness live how the perfect vacation becomes quite the perfect chaos.
