When the Future Stumbles, Bamberg Laughs First
On Sunday, November 15, 2026, the St. Johanniskapelle in Bamberg transforms into a stage for the finest wordplay. Eli Wasserscheid, Martin Neubauer, and Martin Habermeyer present a brand new Karl-Valentin and Liesl-Karlstadt program: quirky, pointed, and so logically twisted that even the spotlight takes a moment to reflect on its life choices.
Absurd Brain Knotting Experienced Live
The comedy atmosphere thrives on verbal stumbling blocks, surprising logical errors, and that special Valentin logic where a simple sentence suddenly has three exits and no key left. The audience expects not just any run-of-the-mill performance but precisely played cabaret with dry humor, fine timing, and visible joy in performing.
Karl Valentin and Liesl Karlstadt Brought to the Stage Anew
Eli Wasserscheid returns to Bamberg and meets Martin Neubauer, the director of the Brentano Theater, and Martin Habermeyer. Together they combine acting, classical comedy, and modern stage presence into a laughter-filled experience full of linguistic acrobatics. The punchlines arise not from volume but from rhythm, interaction, and the perfect moment when a thought elegantly flies off course.
When the Spotlight Fails, the Fun Begins
Why doesn't the spotlight work? And why do we take the matter swiftly into our hands? In this world, a small verbal misstep is enough to throw the entire stage logic off balance. It is right there that the strength of the program unfolds: The audience experiences situational comedy, classic cabaret, and the high art of crafting great punchlines from everyday misunderstandings.
Conclusion: An Evening for Friends of Intelligent Laughter
Those who love stand-up, cabaret, and theater with a unique sense of humor will experience a special comedy evening in Bamberg. The Future Was Better in the Past! promises hearty laughter, surprising audience reactions, and humor that continues on the way home. The organizers recommend making a reservation as soon as possible.
